The Chirag Foundation provides grants and/or targeted investments to nonprofit organizations located in the U.S. or North India. Our current portfolio includes programs focused on education, workforce development, affordable housing, anti-domestic violence, and food security.

We do not fund:

• Non-501c3 organizations

• Religiously-affiliated organizations

• Private schools

If you are interested in applying for a grant, please submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) to Nikita Singhal at Nikita@TheChiragFoundation.org. The letter should be between 500-1,000 words, and include: (1) an overview of the program or project in need of funding and (2) the amount of funding requested. If your LOI is a match for our current funding priorities, we will contact you to submit a full proposal. Please do not submit more than 1 LOI within a 2-year period.
