Abha and Anil Singhal, Trustees of the Foundation, believe in the power of giving and share a devotion of caring for others. They established Chirag Foundation in 1999 to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others during their lifetime and beyond, by the next generation of Trustees.

Abha’s career includes finance and accounting roles in MA-based high tech companies, including Wang Labs.  Since retiring, she devotes her time to community service and the activities of the Chirag Foundation. Abha is currently on the Board of the Carlisle Council on Aging, a member of Hestia Funds and part of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts’ Council. She enjoys the outdoors, growing vegetables and participating in book groups. Abha holds a BS in Economics from Delhi University and an MBA with a major in Accounting from University of Lowell, MA

Abha is married to Anil Singhal, Co-Founder & CEO of NetScout Systems, with HQ located in the Boston area. Since founding NetScout in 1984, Anil has provided strategic direction as well as technical leadership to the company. He is credited with numerous innovations in the field of network traffic monitoring and analysis. Anil has earned notable recognition for his entrepreneurial success, including the TiE (The Indus Entrepreneur) Boston Lifetime Achievement in 2013, Enterprise Bank’s 2013 George L. Duncan Award of Excellence and Ernst & Young’s New England Entrepreneur of the Year in 1997. He has also written a book titled “Lean But Not Mean”, which highlights the unique philosophy and value system of NetScout. Anil holds a BSEE from BITS, Pilani, India and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. In his spare time, he likes to cook, travel and watch movies.

Married for 40 years, the Singhals have two daughters, Priyanka and Nikita.
